Starting out...

I first bought my house when I was 18.. and let's say it wasn't exactly a diamond in the ruff... really I don't even think it was charcoal. But that's what you get when your Dad believes in investing in real estate and high priced Colorado housing....

This is what it looked like when I first bought it in June of 2008..

The peeling off-white cheap wall paper... horrific 80s wainscoting.... oh yeah it was definitely awful at first. My mom spent most of her time reminding all of us that it "has potential!" That's why I love my mother, she's an eternal optimist!

This is the living room here... basically it looks like a cave with two generous windows begging for light. Savvveee meeeee!!!


And I gladly answered their call!

After some faulty roommates in May of 2010 couldn't figure out the water heater, a slow leak spread throughout all of the new laminate flooring. It was back to square one. We had to pull out all of the flooring in 3/4 of the house. My remaining roommate was an excellent sport because her room was the one that received the most damage. The couch on the right was her bed for almost a full month and the huge fans on the left were her constant companions... Now in January of 2011 we've got the floors replaced and I have had a chance to do some redecorating!
